Founded by Farah Jackson on the fundamental belief that every child deserves a fair chance to thrive, we are dedicated to investing in Detroit youth through educational resources, mentorship, and vital scholarship support.
Our story and purpose
Fair Reach Youth Foundation was inspired by a simple truth: background and circumstances should never limit a child's potential. Witnessing firsthand the difference basic educational resources make for Detroit families, we set out to create an organization that steps in where help is needed most. What began as a personal wish to give back has expanded into a community-wide mission to ensure our youth know their dreams are worth investing in.

These four pillars define how we show up every single day. We empower youth to realize their inherent worth, educate through access to books and learning opportunities, equip students with tangible supplies and scholarship funding, and elevate their aspirations so they can confidently pursue their educational horizons and build a brighter future.
Community action in Detroit
Real impact begins with grassroots action. Through our community book drives and school-supply fundraising campaigns, we rally neighbors, mentors, and partners to support students right at the start of their educational journeys. Beyond the backpacks and books delivered, our efforts reassure families across Detroit that a strong, supportive community is standing right behind them.
